A super premium rum first aged in American white oak barrels, and then carefully aged in Spanish sherry casks using the Solera Aging System. In the subtle aroma you can identify hints of vanilla and dark caramel, originating from the prolonged contact of the rum with the barrel.

Our BrandsAt Destilería Serrallés, Inc. we are proud to be the birthplace of premium Puerto Rican rum. The Serrallés rum-making tradition started in 1865 at Hacienda Mercedita in Ponce, Puerto Rico, where Don Juan Serrallés produced his very first casks of aged rum using a copper still he imported from France and some American white oak barrels. Since then, we have continued to follow the same high standards of rum production for our Don Q, Caliche, Blackbeard Spiced Rum and Palo Viejo brands. Today, Don Q is the #1 Premium Rum in Puerto Rico, where government regulation mandates that all rum be aged for at least one year.
We continue to work hard to widen our portfolio, and in 2011 we partnered with Wisconsin based Death’s Door Spirits to represent their artisanal gin, vodka and white whisky. We are very proud of the quality of Death’s Door Spirits products, and in particular that they are made in the U.S.A.
In late 2013 we also launched Kringle Cream liqueur, a cream spirit with natural kringle flavor made with real Wisconsin cream, and Wondermint Schnapps liqueur, which is made with a special blend of botanicals and flavors.
We would also like to welcome Barrow’s Intense Ginger Liqueur to the family. Hand-made in Brooklyn, Barrow’s intense is infused with the bold, distinctive flavor of fresh ginger, crafted by people who share our passion for great taste.

Destileria Serrallés is a pioneer among spirits producers when it comes to clean business practices. The process we use to clean up our waste did not exist until we invested millions of dollars and significant time and brainpower. It was a steep learning curve to connect a series of self-contained processes into a innovative cycle of waste treatment and energy harvest. In fact, our work is now being emulated by a number of other spirits producers, and may prove applicable even to other industries. Sadly, however, most other rum producers in the Caribbean dump raw or partially treated waste directly into the ocean or into surface water, endangering those fragile ecosystems.

Caliche is a blend of 3,4,5 year rums, and aged-Solera rum, while most rums are usually not aged. Distilled 5 times, the Solera rum gives Caliche depth and character, which makes it a unique blend. We intentionally slow blend Caliche for the smoothest possible finish.

Wondermint Original Wisconsin Schnapps Liqueur is made as we think it would have been enjoyed in 1832 when Henry Rowe Schoolcraft wrote of it – with a special blend of botanicals and flavors crafted atop spirits derived from local grains.
Named for the New York street on which it was born, Barrow’s Intense Ginger Liqueur was conceived around a table where a passionate group of family and friends gathered for serious food and drink. Made with generous amounts of fresh ginger, this hand-made liqueur bursts with the distinctive flavor of this spicy superfood.
Originating from the old Norse word ‘kringla’, meaning ring or circle, the kringle is a hand rolled Danish pastry that has been rested overnight before being shaped into an oval, filled with fruits, nuts and spices, baked and topped with deliciously sweet icing. Kringle Cream is a new Wisconsin flavor combining natural kringle flavor with real Wisconsin cream.
Premium Spiced Rum made with Puerto Rican rum and a blend of some of the finest Caribbean spices. Palo Viejo light and gold rums are high quality value rums manufactured by Destilería Serrallés, Inc. They are both expertly aged from one to three years as required by government law in Puerto Rico and are known for their smooth finish which makes them ideal for mixing any type of cocktail.
